JOB SUMMARY
The purpose of the position is to manage lab operations, conduct and document research experiments as well as take care of animal colony. Also, analyze, discuss and prepare data for publication under the supervision of Dr. Erivan Schnaider Ramos Junior.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Ph.D. or equivalent degree from an accredited college or university.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience of working in the field of oral and bone biology. Previous experience with animal colony management including genotyping and handling transgenic animals. Clinical background to correlate experimental findings with human diseases and applications would be a plus.
KNOWLEDGE
Proficient in Microsoft Office and other computer software/databases.
SKILLS
Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills, prioritization, and customer service skills.
ABILITIES
Ability to maintain confidentiality.
The duties include, but are not limited to:
LEARN THROUGH ENGAGEMENT: Learn through engagement in an advanced level of scientific, technical and administrative work.
PARTICIPATE IN RESEARCH DATA COLLECTION AND DOCUMENTATION: Participate in research data collection and documentation within approved guidelines and protocols.
DEVELOP AND EVALUATE NEW RESEARCH TECHNIQUES AND PROCEDURES: Develop and evaluate new research techniques and procedures; prepare and publish results in scientific
journals.
PERFORM REQUIRED CELLULAR AND MOLECULOAR BIOLOGY AND IMMUNOLO: Perform required cellular and molecular biology and immunology techniques as well as pre-arranged in vitro and in vivo experiments with animal colonies.
OTHER DUTIES: Perform all other job-related duties as assigned.
