JOB SUMMARY

Plans, performs experiments, and clearly documents experimental procedures and results. Performs routine immunology techniques, including high dimensional flow cytometry, CyTOF, histology and multiplex immunohistochemistry staining, microscopic image acquisition and spatial cell-cell interaction analyses. Takes initiative to troubleshoot technical issues, modifies and improves existing protocols, and develops new protocols. Analyzes and interprets experimental data. Summarizes research findings and publishes results in research journals. Assists the PI with new lab member orientation, student training and instructions of basic laboratory operation. Participates in the journal clubs, research in progress seminars and career development trainings.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Ph.D. in Basic Science, Health Science, or a related field from an accredited college or university.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Demonstrated research experience in cellular and molecular immunology, including skills in high-dimensional flow cytometry, CyTOF and advanced data analysis with quality publications is desired. Experience in single cell transcriptomic and spatial transcriptomic analysis is a plus.

  • Assists the PI with new lab member orientation, student training and instructions of basic laboratory operation.
  • Manages and maintains the experimental mice colonies for his/her own use and/or communicate timely and effectively with the lab manager for additional needs of experimental animals.
  • Participate in the journal club and research in progress seminars as well as those for career development training.
