Job Description
The College of Information Technology (CIT) at United Arab Emirates University (UAEU) invites applications for a post-doctoral fellow position in computer vision with a focus on Artificial Intelligence Generated Content (AIGC). The candidate will work closely with faculty investigators and industrial collaborators in advanced research areas, including: 1. Unified and efficient video restoration models, especially for full-scene face video restoration. 2. Customized storytelling image/video generation frameworks, based on reference persons. 3. Human-centric video editing based on reference persons. Suitable candidates MUST have: 1. A Ph.D. in Computer Vision, Artificial Intelligence, Applied Mathematics, or a closely related field. 2. Have documented evidence (thesis, journal articles, etc.) of relevant experience in the field of generative models and AIGC. Applicants are requested to submit the following documents: 1. A detailed CV including a list of publications. 2. A research proposal aligned with this position. 3. Contact details of two academic referees. 4. A cover letter outlining how the expertise aligns with this position.
Minimum Qualification
1. Ph.D. (or near completion) in Computer Vision, Artificial Intelligence, Applied Mathematics, or a closely related field. 2. Demonstrated experience in image or video generation. 3. Strong programming skills in Python and experience with deep learning frameworks (e.g., PyTorch, diffusers).
Preferred Qualification
First-author publications in top-tier international journals or conferences, such as CVPR, ICCV, ECCV, TPAMI, IJCV, and TIP.
Expected Skills
1. Solid understanding of diffusion models, Mamba/Transformer architectures, and attention-based models. 2. Hands-on experience in developing AIGC frameworks or visual perception pipelines. 3. Experience in collaborative research and open-source contributions.
