Description
The Puleston Laboratory is seeking highly motivated postdoc to lead an exciting project exploring the role of tumor metabolism in liver cancer, supported in part by a Damon Runyon Rachleff Innovation Award and a DP2 NIH New Innovator Award. Together, through a number of orthogonal approaches including in vivo mouse models, unique human systems, and utilizing both in vitro and in vivo metabolomics, we will explore the metabolic basis for tumor growth and how metabolic factors shape the immune tumor microenvironment and response to immunotherapy.
Responsibilities
Goals/Outcomes of the Research Project:
The mission of our lab is to understand the metabolic factors that fuel immunity and cancer. Applying cutting-edge metabolomics and in vivo models of disease, our focus lies at the intersection of metabolism, cancer, and the immune system where we strive to expose novel metabolic vulnerabilities that can be utilized to limit disease.
