Prof. Dan Michelle WANG’s laboratory located at the School of Biomedical Sciences (https://www2.sbs.cuhk.edu.hk) and The Institute for Tissue Engineering and Regenerative Medicine (iTERM; https://www.iterm.cuhk.edu.hk/), leads a dedicated research team focused on tendon tissue engineering, stem cell, extracellular matrix biology, and biomaterials. We are now seeking applications for the position of Research Assistant and Postdoctoral Fellow to join our exciting research projects on tendons and bones. The research areas include (1) development of extracellular matrix-based biomaterials; (2) stem cell and exosome-based therapies; and (3) biomaterials. For the position of Research Assistant, applicants should have (i) a Bachelor’s degree or above in Biomedical Science and Biomedical Engineering, or a related discipline; (ii) demonstrated self-motivation, good organisation skills, cooperation, and a sense of responsibility; and (iii) excellent communication skills in English and Chinese. For the position of Postdoctoral Fellow, applicants should have/be (i) a Doctoral degree in Biomedical Science, Biotechnology, Biomedical Engineering, Chemical Engineering or a related discipline; (ii) willing to learn new things, self-motivated, well-organised, cooperative and responsible; (iii) able to work independently; and (iv) good communication skills in English and Chinese. Duties include (a) performing research experiments; (b) managing the laboratory; and (c) training new staff members. Appointment will initially be made on contract basis for one year commencing as soon as possible, renewable subject to mutual agreement.
