Description

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE / KĀ PŪKEKA ME KĀ WHEAKO

Successful candidates will have completed a PhD in a neuroscience field, and have research experience in stereotaxic surgery, optogenetics, ex vivo whole-cell electrophysiology, and fibre photometry. Generic skills required include animal care and handling, stereotaxic surgery, behavioural testing, and immunohistochemistry.
The project requires a high-level of personal independent input and the ability to work co-operatively with other team members to reach the research goals.

Responsibilities

We are seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Fellow or Research Fellow with a strong background in Systems Neuroscience to join our team.
The successful candidate will work on a Royal Marsden funded project led by Dr Joon Kim. The project will focus on ‘Revealing a neural circuit mechanism for stress adaptation and resilience’.
This is an exciting opportunity to work on a project which will investigate how stress neurons adapt following stress experience using optogenetics and fibre photometry.
The successful candidate will be appointed as either a Postdoctoral Fellow or Research Fellow, dependent on skills, experience, and publication record.
