Description
The Jockey Club School of Public Health and Primary Care is one of the major schools of public health in the Asia-Pacific region committed to excellence in education and research. The school is inviting applications for Postdoctoral Fellow(s) / Research Associate(s) / Research Assistant(s) (External Fund) positions. Applicants should have (i) a PhD degree in Public Health, Health Economics, Epidemiology, Biostatistics, Data Science, Economics or related disciplines (for Postdoctoral Fellow(s)); OR a Master’s degree in the abovementioned disciplines with four years of post-qualification relevant experience (for Research Associate(s)); (ii) expertise in analysing large health administrative datasets, and proficiency in statistical software such as R, Stata, SAS, or Python; and (iii) a track record of research. Candidates with a strong track record in quantitative policy evaluation, predictive modeling or machine learning, or health system research are preferred. For Research Assistant(s) (External Fund), applicants should have (i) a Master’s degree in Public Health, Economics, Epidemiology, Biostatistics, Data Science, Economics or related disciplines; (ii) a strong academic record; and (iii) related research experience. Those who demonstrate their research interest in quantitative policy evaluation, health system research, and integrating artificial intelligence in public health research, and with a strong academic track record are preferred. Duties include (a) initiating and developing research projects; (b) managing and analysing large datasets; (c) providing assistance in writing research grant proposals, project reports and academic publications; and (d) performing other tasks as assigned by the Principal Investigator. Appointment will initially be made on contract basis for one year commencing as soon as possible, renewable subject to good performance and mutual agreement.
