POSITION OVERVIEW:

  • Lead research projects focusing on developing and optimizing network protocols for power systems.
  • Explore innovative applications of AI in modeling and managing energy systems, particularly in optimizing grid performance and reliability.
  • Manage day-to-day operations and research activities in a cutting-edge laboratory equipped with:
  • NovaCor real-time digital simulator from RTDS Technologies for generation and transmission systems modeling.
  • A comprehensive set of SEL equipment for distribution system testing, including SEL-3555 RTAC, SEL-451, SEL-351, SEL-787, and SEL-387 relays.
  • Publish findings in high-impact journals and present at international conferences.

Required Experience:

  • Proven experience in network protocols, power systems modeling, or AI applications in energy systems.
  • Demonstrable experience with real-time simulation and/or control systems in an academic or industrial setting.

Required Education:

  • A recent Doctoral Degree in CS, ECE with specialization in power systems security.
