POSTDOCTORAL POSITION IN NEURODEVELOPMENTAL DISORDERS

    Location: IIT Center for Neuroscience and Cognitive Systems (CNCS), Rovereto (TN)

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

  • PhD degree in a discipline related to the work we do in the lab (e.g., Computational Cognitive Neuroscience, Neuroinformatics, Data Science, Machine Learning);
  • Experience and expertise in neural time-series (EEG) data analysis;
  • Coding skills in multiple languages (e.g., MATLAB, Python, R);
  • Skills/experience with advanced statistical analysis and machine learning;
  • Good command of both Italian and English languages (e.g., C1 or higher);
  • Excellent writing skills and demonstrable evidence of high-level scholarly writing ability.

Responsibilities

You will be working in a multicultural and multi-disciplinary group, where junior and senior scientists collaborate, each with their expertise, to carry out a scientific activity with a shared research goal.
The Neurodevelopmental Disorders Research Unit (PI: Prof. Michael Lombardo) is seeking 1 talented Postdoc as part of a research project focused on early intervention for infants with risk of developing an autism spectrum disorder. The research focuses on analysis of high-density electroencephalogram (EEG) data along with behavioral observational data collected as part of the intervention program.

Within the research team, your main responsibilities will be:

  • Statistical analysis of EEG data, following best practices in open science and reproducibility;
  • Data organization and management;
  • Publishing research in international peer-reviewed journals;
  • Facilitating work with the PI, post-docs, PhD students, and other research assistants in the lab.
