The FAU Cell Biology Division (Department of Biology, Friedrich-Alexander-University of Erlangen-Nuremberg, Germany) investigates the division and directional expansion of plant cells, two processes essential for the development of multicellular tissues and organs.

Your Tasks
Characterization of molecular mechanisms underlying recently identified functions of Arabidopsis AtGBL3, a nuclear envelope-associated dynamin-related large GTPase, in nuclear envelope formation, global transcriptional repression and root development (Reimann et al. 2023-Nat Plants 9-766; ). The successful candidate is expected to advance this project working closely together with and supervising a DFG (German Research Foundation)-funded PhD student. Her/his efforts to secure additional funding and to attain Junior Group Leader status will be actively encouraged and supported.
