OVERVIEW

The Information Science and Computational Imaging (ISCI) Lab at the University of South Florida (USF) is seeking highly motivated postdoctoral research associates to join in on advancing the frontiers of imaging. Successful candidates will contribute to various exciting and DoD-funded research projects at the intersection of computational imaging, machine learning, and inverse problems. We particularly welcome applicants with expertise in any of the following areas: photonics, optics, computed tomography, radar, lidar, magnetic resonance imaging, 3D imaging, machine learning, computer vision, and related areas.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Ph.D. in Engineering, Physical Sciences, Computing or Mathematics.
  • Fluency in a high-level interpretive language (Python and MATLAB preferred).
  • Proficiency in a popular ML framework.
  • Strong technical background.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct research in the theory, algorithms, and applications of imaging, with several modalities being of interest.
  • Design, facilitate and execute imaging experiments.
  • Work closely with internal and external collaborators.
  • Prepare research findings for publication in peer-reviewed journals and present results at scientific conferences.
  • Mentor graduate students and assist in the training of laboratory personnel.
