Full time, fixed term opportunity for three years Located at the School of Chemistry, Camperdown Campus Sydney Base Salary Level A, $113,400 - $121,054 p.a. + 17% superannuation About the opportunity The School of Chemistry is currently seeking to appoint a Postdoctoral Research Associate in Battery Materials Chemistry to conduct research under the joint supervision of Professors Chris Ling, Markus Müllner and Wesley Dose. Contributing to a project on “nanostructured materials for high-power high-capacity lithium ion batteries” your key responsibilities will be to: lead innovative research at the interface of polymer chemistry, solid-state materials and electrochemistry develop and optimise templating techniques for controlled structure formation and material design design, characterise, and optimise new electrolyte solutions test novel materials in batteries, including electrode fabrication, cell assembly, and cycling analyse and interpret experimental results to identify trends and guide design improvements manage ongoing partnerships with academic and industry collaborators coordinate administrative tasks, including equipment maintenance and laboratory organisation There will be opportunities to lead independent research initiatives and actively participate in the co-supervision of students.
