Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

Would you like to work on cutting-edge epidemiological research that is making a real difference in the prevention and early diagnosis of cancer? An opportunity has arisen for a Postdoctoral Research Associate in Cancer Epidemiology to support the research activities of the Cancer Screening and Prevention Research Group (CSPRG, www.csprg.org.uk).

WHAT YOU WOULD BE DOING

In this role, you will examine post-polypectomy surveillance and surveillance of other high-risk groups, such as those with Lynch syndrome. You will independently conduct statistical analyses of large datasets, produce outputs for discussion, prepare manuscripts for publication, present the data at national/international meetings, and will be expected to apply for external research funding.
You will work within an internationally renowned multidisciplinary group undertaking epidemiologic research into the prevention and early detection of gastrointestinal cancers. Joining a friendly, highly motivated team, you will be involved in several clinical research projects funded by the UK Government and charities.
