Description:
This is a very exciting opportunity to work within a collaborative EPSRC project, which is in collaboration with Universities of Glasgow, Edinburgh, Strathclyde, Newcastle and several industrial partners.
We are seeking one researcher to join the project on a full-time basis to lead and work on the Liverpool elements of the project. This will involve the design, modelling, and test of vapour compression heat pump system, and, working very closely as part of an integrated team with other academics and researchers, and assisting in the supervision of PhD students at Liverpool.
You will be expected to have expertise, experience, and a track record in vapour adsorption refrigeration and/or heat pump systems.
You will have an ability to plan and organise research programmes, to ensure successful completion and you will have experience of planning and organising workloads, including the ability to supervise and delegate work.
You will have an ability to work within a team environment and to lead teams and excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to listen, engage and persuade, and to present complex information in an accessible way to a range of audiences.
The post is offered on a fixed term basis and is available for 12 months.
If you are still awaiting your PhD to be awarded you will be appointed at Grade 6, spine point 30. Upon written confirmation that you have been awarded your PhD, your salary will be increased to Grade 7, spine point 31.
