JOB SUMMARY
The University of Texas at Tyler’s Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering is seeking a highly skilled and innovative Postdoctoral Research Associate to join our dynamic research team. This position is funded through Office of Sponsored Programs and will be under the guidance of Dr. Md Masud Rana.
The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and fabricating nanoelectronics and flexible electronics for sensing, particularity in the fields of agriculture, food, and biomedical applications. An extensive experience in cleanroom nanofabrication is preferable. The postdoc is also expected to collaborate with other researchers to apply nanoelectronics and flexible electronics in developing biosensors for biological and medical research.
REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
- PhD in: Electrical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field
- A prior postdoctoral research experience is preferred
ACCOMPANYING KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND COMPETENCIES
- The candidate should have excellent abilities in electrochemistry, embedded systems, nanomaterials synthesis, and flexible electronics.
- We seek a creative, detail-oriented, and highly motivated person with strong scientific background and excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
Responsibilities:
- Lead research efforts in flexible sensor design and engineering new material for Ag. Tech, biotech application, contributing to and driving ongoing research projects.
- Publish findings in high-impact peer-reviewed scientific conferences and journals.
- Assist in preparing and writing research grant proposals.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
