Position Details:
The Opportunity:
Postdoc researcher to study the molecular mechanisms of seasonal physiology - Hidalgo Laboratory.
The selected applicant will work in a newly established laboratory supporting research activities on the role of the circadian clock in seasonal neuronal plasticity. Work in the lab is conducted in Drosophila melanogaster and cell cultures. The applicant is expected to perform several duties in the lab, including but not limited to experimental design, data collection, analysis and interpretation, writing manuscripts, presenting in lab meetings, and attending/presenting the lab research at national and international conferences. We seek applicants with demonstrated scientific independence and mentoring experience. The appointment is initially for one year, with the potential for re-appointment, subject to performance and availability of funds.
Additional Information:
This is a full time (100% FTE) temporary position. This position is overtime eligible.
Temporary End Date: This is a temporary position expected to end on December 31, 2026. Renewal is dependent on the need for extension and/or if additional funding is secured to extend employment.
Annual Salary:
$62,232 - $65,000 | Commensurate with experience and qualifications
