We are now opening a 5-year position for
Postdoctoral | Research Scientist (W-0031 | all genders)
The successful applicant will lead a small group in the Climate Physics Department to study climate change using simulations from next generation km-scale Earth-system models developed within the Destination Earth () and related projects. The focus of the group will be on the use of output from next-generation km-scale Earth-system models to advance scientific understanding, and document this in the scientific literature. Topics of investigation can reflect applicant’s own interest, and can cover any of the various spheres of the Earth-system simulated by the models, but we are particularly focused on understanding signals, including biases, that were unexpected. The applicant is expected to provide intellectual leadership and mentorship to PhD and Masters students. Funding or support will be provided based on the identification of suitable topics and candidates.
