Job Description:
The post-doctoral researcher will perform population genomic re-sequencing analyses of experimental lines of Tigriopus copepods to investigate the genetic basis of thremal adaptation as part of an NSF funded research project.
Duties Include:
45% Analysis of whole genome re-sequence data from natural populations and experimental lines.
40% Write up of results for publication.
10% Mentor and train undergraduate and graduate students in bioinformatic techniques.
5% Participate in weekly lab meetings and other project meetings.
Minimum Qualifications:
PhD in Biological Sciences or related.
Job Competencies:
Must be proficient in Scientific Writing and Analysis of genome sequence data.
Emergency Essential Personnel: This position may be required to report to campus in times of emergency and/or closure per PS-18.
