• conduct research in the field of high-energy density physics as part of the ERC project MEGACHEM)
• design, conduct and evaluate laser-driven dynamic compression experiments for the synthesis of novel carbon structures at extreme pressure and temperature conditions at the laser laboratories of the working group Heigh Energy Density and at international large-scale research facilities (in particular European XFEL and ELI Beamlines)
• scientifically supervise students and doctoral candidates in the ERC project MEGACHEM
• publish research results
