THIS IS A GRANT FUNDED POSITION FUNDED UNTIL NOVEMBER 1, 2029. JOB SUMMARY/ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: The Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center is seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Research Scholar. This position works closely with the Principal Investigator to identify the endogenous molecular factors and downstream signaling mechanisms regulating arterial lymphatic vessel formation and their role in the development of atherosclerosis, hepatic steatosis, and other cardiometabolic diseases. The project involves the use of multiple genetically engineered mouse models, in-vivo gene transfer, molecular biology techniques, as well as various biochemical, functional, and cell biology assays.

Responsibilities

The Postdoctoral Research Scholar will work closely with the Principal Investigator to identify molecular factors and signaling mechanisms related to arterial lymphatic vessel formation. The role involves utilizing various research techniques and models to study their impact on cardiometabolic diseases.
