MUST BE ENROLLED IN A PHD OR MPHIL DEGREE AT THE UNIVERSITY OF SYDNEY
The School of Physics is currently seeking Honours graduates in all areas of Physics for a part-time (0.26 FTE) appointment at Associate Lectureship level. You must be enrolled in a PhD or MPhil degree at the University of Sydney and expect to remain enrolled until June 20th, 2026.
The salary of these positions is in addition to scholarship funding. This Fellowship Program provides training and experience in tertiary teaching to outstanding postgraduate candidates with the aim of developing the next generation of university academics.
Your key responsibilities will be to:
Training will be provided by School of Physics staff, including recipients of local and national teaching awards. Further support will be provided throughout the year by academic staff involved in the teaching program. Additionally, you will attend training modules run by the Education Innovation group in the University (topics include team teaching, creating positive environments, and peer-peer learning).
The School of Physics at the University of Sydney is the leading Physics department in the country, with outstanding staff and students undertaking world-leading teaching and research.
