Job Title: Pou Tōkeke Project Coordinator Location: Invercargill FTE: 0.5 FTE WellSouth Primary Health Network seeks a motivated and passionate Pou Tōkeke Project Coordinator to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the well-being of Māori communities by coordinating and supporting equity projects. About the Role: As a Pou Tōkeke Project Coordinator, you will work closely with the Project Coordinator - Tuakana and the project sponsor to undertake project support for our equity projects. Your primary goal will be to ensure these projects' efficient and effective delivery on time and within budget. Key responsibilities include: Coordinating the delivery of equity projects using project management principles to achieve successful outcomes. Working to improve and protect the health of Māori and Pacific by increasing access to, and enrolment in, primary care services. Supporting primary and community providers in achieving health equity and promoting the continuous improvement of health equity. Assisting vulnerable communities in becoming familiar with and comfortable using all available primary health services and tools. About You: You are a proactive individual with excellent communication skills and a strong commitment to improving Māori health outcomes. You have experience providing community support for Māori, Pacific and other groups and are comfortable working with primary care and managing confidential patient information. You demonstrate strong time management skills, and a proven track record of coordinating programmes and projects is essential. Qualifications and experience: Ability to demonstrate an understanding of and adherence to project management principles. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Good levels of computer literacy. A high degree of self-motivation, willingness, and self-responsibility to continually improve. Experience working with diverse communities and understanding their unique health needs and cultural contexts.
