We’re looking for a Poultry Farm Manager to take the helm of a free-range layer operation in the East of England. In this role, you’ll guide a dedicated team, drive operational excellence and champion high standards across all aspects of production. You’ll bring a combination of technical expertise in layer management, practical problem-solving skills, and strong people leadership. Your focus will be on improving performance, enhancing productivity, and fostering a motivated, high-performing team. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute, and shape both the people and production of a thriving operation.

SKILLS YOU WILL NEED:

Essential:

  • Previous experience in poultry farm management and operations
  • Excellent knowledge and understanding of layer production
  • Proven experience of successfully managing staff and leading a team
  • Highly organised with an exceptional eye for detail
  • Practical knowledge of biosecurity measures and industry regulations for large poultry units
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Resilient and motivated, with a drive for continuous improvement
  • A strong and capable work ethic
  • Proficient IT skills

  • To lead and manage a team, driving excellence and implementing a high-performing collaborative culture
  • To ensure compliance with industry regulations, maintain high biosecurity measures across the farm
  • To maintain accurate production records and routine ordering of feed
  • To monitor egg production, quality and layer performance measures
  • To monitor and manage the farm financial records, reporting on performance and profitability
