JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY:

We are seeking a motivated individual to support the Selection Manager in coordinating the gathering of selection data for the R&D program, focusing on traits that impact live performance, meat yield, and flock health. This role will assist in facilitating/ensuring record collection as directed by R&D. This is a salaried position and raises are based on appraisals of job performance.

SKILLS/ATTRIBUTES:

• Self-motivator with the ability to perform selection tasks accurately and efficiently.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and comfortable with in-house software.
• Willingness to travel between grow, rear, and lay farms.
• Team player with strong organizational and communication skills.
• Prior leadership or supervisory experience a plus.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in poultry production or related animal production.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and capacity to build familiarity with in-house software.
• 90% of role is on-farm; travel between farms required. Opportunities for domestic/international travel.

• Assist in training and guiding the selection team; support adherence to welfare protocols.
• Help coordinate the collection and analysis of on-farm performance data.
• Support implementation of genetic tools to guide breeding decisions.
• Collaborate with live production, hatchery, nutrition, and health teams as needed.
• Contribute to bi-weekly selection reports and provide support for R&D projects.
