ABOUT THE ROLE:

The Poultry Field Service Representative supports poultry producers across Pennsylvania and Virginia by providing on-site guidance, collecting feed samples, and serving as a key communication link between producers, nutritionists, and the Kalmbach Nutritional Services (KNS) team. You will split your time among farm visits, the Pennsylvania feed mill, and your home office. Success in this role requires adaptability, clear communication, and a passion for animal husbandry.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work closely with the Account Manager to understand and meet the needs of each assigned account.
  • Conduct farm visits to assess pellet quality, investigate quality concerns, or evaluate damage and errors, and report findings to the Account Manager to develop action plans.
  • Obtain and submit feed samples for laboratory evaluation as needed.
  • Field and place phone calls to producers regarding deliveries, scheduling changes, and quality issues; participate in occasional web meetings.
  • Cross‑train with feed‑mill staff in Pennsylvania to understand feed scheduling and provide backup support.
  • Remain available for emergency producer calls during nights and weekends on a rotating basis.
