Requirements The Powder Coat Utility team members support the powder coating department by assisting with material preparation, hanging and racking parts, operating coating equipment, quality checks, and maintaining a clean and organized work area. This role ensures metal furniture components are properly coated to meet quality, durability, and aesthetic standards. Key Responsibilities Load and unload metal parts onto racks or conveyor systems for the powder coating process. Prepare metal components by cleaning, masking, sanding, or performing minor surface preparation as needed. Assist powder coat operators with color changes, booth cleaning, and equipment setup. Inspect parts before and after coating to ensure coverage, finish quality, and adherence to specifications. Identify and report defects such as drips, thin coverage, contamination, or damage. Maintain production flow to meet daily output goals. Perform routine housekeeping and maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Follow all OSHA and company safety procedures, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Assist with preventive maintenance tasks as directed by supervision. Any other duties as assigned Qualifications Must be at 18 years or older High school diploma or GED preferred. Previous experience in powder coating, paint line operations, or manufacturing preferred but not required. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions. Basic understanding of quality standards and attention to detail. Ability to work in a team environment and maintain consistent production pace.
