We are seeking an alloy wheel prep operative with potential to learn powder coating techniques to join our team.
The candidate will ideally have some experience of powder coating operations including removing and fitting wheels and tyres, jacking up cars and preferably with some mechanical knowledge,
with the ability to work effectively with various power and hand tools. you will be required to ensure a high-quality finish that meets our standards. This role requires attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining a safe and organised work environment.
Responsibilities

• Preparing surfaces for powder coating by cleaning, sanding, or grinding as necessary.
• Operate powder coating equipment / auto blaster and hand blaster
• operating pressure washer
• Conduct quality checks on coated items to ensure they meet specifications.
• Perform timely housekeeping duties to ensure a clean and safe working environment
• Collaborate with team members to optimise production processes and improve efficiency.
• Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean workspace at all times.

Requirements

• some mechanical knowledge with the ability to operate power tools effectively.
• Proficiency in basic maths, reading comprehension and writing skills.
• Familiarity with hand tools and coating techniques is beneficial.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating good communication skills.
• A commitment to health and safety practices within the workplace.
