OVERVIEW

Based at our Head Office in Bradford, you will report to the Head of Production. With responsibility for overseeing the smooth day to day running of the Paint Shop operation i.e. pre-treatment, coating, drying & cooling processes of stairlift rails and associated equipment, also ensuring standards in terms of quality, health and safety practices.

KEY SKILLS

2-3 years previous experience of working within powder coating processes.
Knowledge of painting methods and techniques using handheld power tools.
Methods and techniques of the safe use, storage and disposal of paint and cleaning products, chemicals and clean-up techniques and practices.
Capability to train and share knowledge of full powder coating processes.
Strong organisational skills with ability to prioritise workloads and achieve targets.
Ability to work effectively in a team and independently to implement and improve processes.
High levels of integrity and commitment to ensuring a safe and compliant work environment.

Cleaning and preparation of all products prior to coating.
Oversee the powder coating process, including drying & cooling.
Maintain the required paint quality of products through the coating process.
Provide department training on all stages of coating process.
Ensure the transport of product effectively to Wrap & Despatch area using conveyor track.
Adhere to Health & Safety regulations and Safe Working Procedures.
Maintain and review Paint shop equipment and ensure area is kept clean and free from debris at all times.
