Title: Power Automate Developer Location: Remote (preference for offshore/remote contractor) Employment Type: Contractor Project Duration: 3–5 weeks (with potential to extend) Compensation: $15–$20/hour (depending on experience) We’re seeking an experienced Power Automate Specialist with 2+ years of hands-on experience building, deploying, and supporting end-to-end automation solutions using Microsoft Power Automate. This role is ideal for an offshore professional who can work independently, gather requirements with minimal supervision, and deliver reliable, scalable automations that improve operational efficiency. The ideal candidate can own automation work from requirements gathering through deployment and ongoing support, with a strong focus on accuracy, performance, maintainability, and production readiness. Responsibilities Design, develop, test, and deploy end-to-end Power Automate solutions (primarily cloud flows; desktop flows where applicable) Independently gather and clarify business requirements and translate them into complete, optimized automation workflows Integrate Power Automate with Microsoft 365 tools (SharePoint, Teams, Outlook, Excel, OneDrive, Forms) and third-party applications Build and maintain flows using triggers, actions, conditions, variables, loops, approvals, and expressions Optimize existing automations for performance, reliability, and scalability Implement robust error handling, retries, logging, and monitoring for production-ready solutions Document flow logic, configurations, dependencies, and operational guidelines clearly and consistently Collaborate remotely with business users, analysts, and IT stakeholders to refine and improve automation solutions Ensure automations follow best practices for security, governance, and compliance Provide troubleshooting, maintenance, and ongoing support for deployed automations Qualifications & Experience Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Power Automate Strong understanding of end-to-end process automation and flow architecture Experience working within the Microsoft 365 ecosystem (SharePoint, Teams, Outlook, Excel, Forms, etc.) Solid knowledge of conditions, expressions, variables, loops, approvals, and connectors Experience implementing error handling, retries, and exception management Ability to analyze business processes and translate them into efficient automated workflows Strong problem-solving and debugging skills Clear written and verbal communication skills for remote collaboration Ability to work independently, manage tasks, and meet deadlines in an offshore environment Preferred Qualifications Experience with Power Apps and Dataverse Knowledge of REST APIs, HTTP connectors, and JSON Experience with Power Automate Desktop (RPA) Familiarity with Power Platform governance, environment management, and ALM Microsoft Power Platform certifications What We’re Looking For Someone who can own automation projects end-to-end, not just build individual steps A detail-oriented professional who ensures flows are accurate, reliable, and maintainable A proactive team player who can work independently and communicate clearly with stakeholders
