This is a hybrid role based in New York City. Remote work is not available - candidates must reside in or be willing to relocate to the NY area.

POSITION OVERVIEW

We are seeking an experienced Power BI Architect to lead enterprise-level analytics initiatives in the supply chain domain. The role focuses on designing and delivering scalable, high-performance data models and dashboards that drive actionable business insights. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Power BI, Snowflake, and dimensional modeling, with a strong track record of translating complex business requirements into effective BI solutions.

REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

• 10+ years of experience in data analytics and BI architecture roles.
• Advanced expertise in Microsoft Power BI (DAX, Power Query, visualization best practices).
• Strong background in Snowflake and star schema design for analytics.
• Proven experience in dimensional modeling and supply chain data (inventory, procurement, demand planning, logistics, etc.).
• Strong SQL skills and ability to work with large, complex datasets.
• Experience implementing secure BI solutions with RLS and data masking.
• Ability to align technical solutions with business goals.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Microsoft certifications (Power BI, Azure Data Engineer).
• Experience with Azure Synapse, Databricks, or dbt.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and CI/CD for BI workflows.

• Design and implement end-to-end data models for complex supply chain scenarios.
• Build semantic layers and star schemas to enable intuitive, high-performance analytics.
• Work with Snowflake, other cloud/on-prem data sources, and design optimized data structures.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders and data teams to define KPIs, dimensions, and fact tables.
• Develop optimized Power BI reports, dashboards, and paginated reports.
• Define and enforce best practices for data modeling, governance, security (Row-Level Security), and performance tuning.
• Provide mentorship and architectural guidance to BI developers and analysts.
