We are seeking an experienced Power BI Designer/Developer to join our team! As a key member, you will design and develop interactive dashboards, reports, and visualizations using Microsoft Power BI while working extensively with SQL-based data solutions. Your expertise in SQL scripting, data modeling, and business intelligence will be instrumental in delivering actionable insights that drive organizational decision-making.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • US citizenship required.
  • 2+ years of experience in data visualization, business intelligence, or a related field
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Power BI (Designer/Developer role) and SQL scripting (queries, stored procedures, models).
  • Experience with DAX, Power Query, and data modeling principles.
  • Proven ability to design and implement data pipelines and optimize data structures for analytics.
  • Familiarity with data governance principles and ETL processes.
  • Experience with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS) and data integration tools (e.g., SSRS, Informatica).
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
Responsibilities
  • Design and develop high-quality, user-friendly Power BI reports and dashboards that effectively communicate complex data insights to stakeholders.
  • Write and optimize SQL scripts, including stored procedures, models, and complex queries, to extract, transform, and load data from multiple sources.
  • Build and maintain data pipelines and ensure competency in data structuring for reporting and analytics purposes.
  • Use Power Query to clean, shape, and transform datasets prior to visualization.
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the organization’s data landscape, including data sources, structures, and relationships.
  • Implement DAX measures and calculated columns to enhance analytical capabilities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (finance, operations, marketing, etc.) to gather business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Create custom visualizations, tables, and charts using Power BI’s built-in features and third-party extensions.
  • Apply advanced analytics techniques, such as forecasting, predictive analytics, and trend analysis.
  • Optimize report and query performance to ensure fast rendering and a smooth user experience.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to Power BI development, SQL queries, and data connectivity.
  • Stay current with emerging Power BI features, SQL advancements, and best practices in BI development.
