JOB SUMMARY Monday - Friday 8AM - 5PM IN-OFFICE POSITION (Denton, TX) The Business Intelligence Architect is responsible for the design, development, implementation, and support of business analytics reports and dashboards.  The Business Intelligence Architect is responsible for providing timely and accurate business information, via various reporting solutions, based upon metrics, sales and financial information. This will empower Group CBS employees to more easily make data-driven management decisions. The position will be responsible for generating and delivering reports and data analysis reviews. This work requires a solid understanding of Group CBS business processes, existing reports, and BI tools.  The position involves technically rigorous work, including the use of data analysis technologies.   ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following: May be modified from time to time.  Other duties may be assigned. ·         Develop, test, and deploy complex reports using business intelligence technologies. ·         Work with the user community to ascertain reporting requirements and then develop proper methods for extracting and displaying the data to the user in the form of reports or dashboards, identifying gaps in customer requirements and developing innovative solutions. ·         Required to test and ensure accuracy of various Group CBS reporting data points identifying and possibly combining/reducing redundant data sources ·         Maintain deep knowledge of Group CBS products and databases and reporting technologies. ·         Required to gain specialized knowledge of current procedures and facilitate the definition of report requirements. ·         Identify data sources and the appropriate data fields to use for reporting needs. ·         Collaborating with end users to identify needs and opportunities for improved data management and delivery. ·         Design, develop and implement a wide array of standardized and ad hoc reports from various reporting platforms such as BI, SalesForce, NetSuite, ADP. ·         Serve as a liaison to the leadership team for reporting requests and data analytics. ·         Demonstrate knowledge of BI and data warehousing ·         Gain a high-level understanding of Group CBS operational functions (i.e. sales order processing, purchasing, inventory management, shipping, and accounting) and the related software interaction.  ·         Other tasks may also be required from time to time, at the discretion of management, in order to achieve department and company objectives.   METRICS Business Intelligence Architects are required to complete reports & development commitments and are expected to conduct requirements analysis and presentation design of data quality.  They will be measured by the quality of their work and on how effectively they accomplish their tasks.   QUALIFICATIONS It is essential that a candidate possesses or can quickly acquire the necessary knowledge of the following systems which are crucial to the business: * Windows * Microsoft Office * Excel proficiency * MS SQL Server * Halo BI * SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) * MS Visual Studio * Data warehousing * Data Mining (plus)   KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS REQUIRED  * Ability to multi-task * Ability to work at fast pace * Attention to detail * Ability to solve complex problems * Ability to quickly learn and apply new technical * Ability to make and keep commitments to the team * Ability to work effectively with little or no supervision * Strong written and verbal communication skills * Interpersonal skills are a must  * Sensitive to user needs   EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE  *        AS, AAS, BS or equivalent degree in Business or Management of Information Systems (MIS) with 3 to 5 years related experience and/or training.
