Your expertise in electrically powered heavy equipment will be crucial in supporting our diverse range of projects and maintaining a fleet of electrical equipment to be “rent ready” at all times. Perform troubleshooting activities to detect and resolve electrical connectivity issues, ensuring minimal downtime and maximize equipment availability Testing and diagnosing power distribution equipment in compliance with safety regulations in a shop environment  Conduct inspections and diagnostics to identify electrical malfunctions or system failures, using appropriate tools and testing equipment Perform repairs or replacements of faulty electrical parts, wiring, connectors, relays, switches, and other components, adhering to the manufacturer's specifications Keep accurate records of all repairs, inspections, and preventive maintenance tasks performed, by logging in RentalMan rental tracking software  Work with a variety of electrical equipment, including but not limited to transformers, circuit breakers, I-Line Panels, Load Banks, Auto Transfer Switches, Disconnects, controls, and distribution panels Conduct regular preventive maintenance routines to ensure optimal performance and longevity of electrical systems and equipment Monitor electrical systems and equipment to identify potential hazards or safety concerns, promptly addressing any issues to maintain a safe working environment Keep detailed records of maintenance and repair activities, documenting performed tasks, materials used, and any necessary follow-up actions Stay up to date with industry regulations and advances in electrical technology through continuous learning and professional development opportunities Assist with general mechanical tasks and repairs as needed, demonstrating a willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges Demonstrate active participation in Herc Rentals Safety Culture, always prioritizing the safety of team members and customers alike Support all team members Learn and follow all company procedures and protocols    Requirements Proven track record with a minimum 1-3 years of electromechanical experience within theheavy equipment and/or construction markets preferred Computer skills to support entering information into systems High School Diploma or GED A valid driver’s license Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints Strong understanding of electrical codes, safety practices, and regulations Experience with electrical testing and measurement equipment Ability to effectively troubleshoot and diagnose electrical issues Excellent manual dexterity and physical stamina, as this role may involve standing, bending,and lifting heavy objects Multi-Tasking individual who uses project management skills to accomplish goals Customer service focused Must react to changing business needs Solid and proven computer skill set (knowledge od MS Office is preferred) Skills Interpersonal skills Teamwork Listening skills Ability to communicate effectively and efficiently Dependability Demonstrated attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills Excellent communication skills Works and communicates effectively with all levels of the company   Req #: 65388 Pay Range: $21-$24/hr  Please be advised that the actual salary offered for any position is subject to the company's sole discretion and may be influenced by various factors, including but not limited to the candidate's qualifications, experience, location, and overall fit for the role.   Herc Rentals values its employees and provides excellent compensation and benefits packages which are not limited to the following.   Keeping you healthy Medical, Dental, and Vision Coverage Life and disability insurance Flex spending and health savings accounts Virtual Health Visits 24 Hour Nurse Line Healthy Pregnancy Program Tobacco Cessation Program Weight Loss Program     Building Your Financial Future 401(k) plan with company match Employee Stock Purchase Program     Life & Work Harmony Paid Time Off (Holidays, Vacations, Sick Days) Paid parental leave.
