This position will work in Caterpillar China (Wuxi) R&D Center electrification & energy solution team, electrification is one of Caterpillar’s strategic technologies, and Caterpillar is accelerating electrification solution development in construction machinery, mining equipment and energy & transportation business. The electrification & energy solution team in Caterpillar Wuxi R&D center is part of Caterpillar global electrification team and responsible for e-powertrain system architecture development, system integration, battery design, motor and power electronics components design and charging solution development. Job Requirements: • Bachelor's degree or above, majoring in Electrical /Electronics/Mechatronics engineering or other equivalent ones • 8+ years’ work experience in New Energy Vehicle power electronics components design or in related field • Familiar with low-voltage (48Vdc below) and high-voltage (nominal 300 – 800Vdc) power supply structure and topology, have experience in hardware design. Such as Inverter (Motor Control Unit), DC-DC/DC-AC, power supply, charging products, power conversion products etc. • Skilled at using test equipment, strong technical issue fix capability • Familiar with manufacture process in power electronics related field. • Good communication and project management skills • Good English skills and team player, interested in new technology and self-motivated • Experience in New Energy Vehicle related power electronics components development is preferred Responsibility: The job will be related to the following but not limited to • This position will work on inverter and X-in-1 development used on Caterpillar battery electric and diesel electric machinery, provide technical support to other products, such as DC-DC/DC-AC, power supply, charging products, power conversion products etc. • Advanced power electronics technology investigation, concept design and figure out the possible solutions could be used on Caterpillar product • Work with system engineer and machine technical lead to define component requirements • Specification development, components sizing, selection and schematic design, PCB design, hardware prototype testing and debug • Lead DFMEA, DVP&R and design review • Power electronics products related competitive benchmarking and market intelligence • Technical documentation development • NPI & CPI issue resolution Posting Dates: December 22, 2025 - January 15, 2026 Caterpillar is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
