Description
Responsible for the design and optimization of the modulation and control algorithms for various power conversion modules, including bi-directional onboard chargers and DC/DC converters for all operating modes and conditions. Develop novel control strategies to improve system performance, robustness, and costs through extensive modeling and HIL simulation. Work closely with systems, hardware, software, and test engineers on the team to plan, implement and validate the control strategies. Work with power conversion module suppliers to ensure and help improve the stability and performance of their control strategies. Investigate and troubleshoot system faults and errors. Connect with focus groups and forums to stay at the forefront of technological advancements to keep the team abreast of the latest control techniques. Established and active employee resource groups Master degree in Electrical Engineering 3+ years of relevant experience in power converter control design and development Deep understanding of various high-power conversion topologies (PFC, CLLC and DAB DC/DC etc.), including their operation principles and switching/commutation details. Solid circuit and system-level modeling and simulation skills with common tools, such as PLECS and Simulink. Strong communicator, able to effectively present to technical audiences. Team player working in a diverse group in a dynamic, fast paced environment. Self-starting with solid follow-through and multitasking abilities; able to work with limited supervision. PhD degree in Electrical Engineering 5+ years of relevant experience in power converter control design and development Experience in simulation, design and testing with HIL.
