POWER ELECTRONICS ENGINEER – SATELLITES & AEROSPACE

Location: Canberra, ACT
We’re partnering with a pioneering organisation that designs, builds, and operates next-generation satellite systems. As part of their continued growth, they’re looking for a skilled Power Electronics Engineer to join their mission-led team in Canberra.
As a Power Electronics Engineer, you’ll contribute to the design, development, and testing of advanced power subsystems for satellite hardware. You’ll work across the full lifecycle - from concept through to deployment - within a multidisciplinary engineering environment.

Responsbilities:

• Design and test complex high-power electronic subsystems from concept to final product.
• Lead PCB design using Altium, including schematic capture and layout.
• Act as a subject matter expert in power electronics, collaborating closely with electrical, RF, and systems teams.
• Drive innovative solutions to support satellite performance and power distribution needs.

Experience required:

• Degree-qualified in Engineering (Electrical, Electronics or related).
• Strong, demonstrable experience designing and testing power electronics beyond basic buck/boost converters.
• Proficiency in Altium Designer for PCB schematic and layout work.
• A collaborative, team-first mindset with strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
