Description

Job Title: Technician, Power Electronics Test & Validation
Location: Newark, CA (Onsite)

Role and responsibilities:

  • Support the test setups for power electronics labs (environmental, thermal, durability, etc.). Perform and monitor tests as needed by the test plan e.g. EOL and thermal measurements. Support the failure analysis/root cause analysis for failed units/components. Wiring high voltage cables, coolant lines, and low voltage cables to test stations. Troubleshoot equipment for potential set up errors. Prepare harnesses and connectors according to engineers’ requirements
  • Keep the lab organized according to 5S methodology. Be part of a team that develops amazing electronics products

Qualifications:

  • Basic knowledge of electrical circuits and components. Basic understanding of HV and LV wiring and ability to read schematics. Basic experience with setting up and programming thermal chambers. Basic experience with cooling systems (antifreeze, coolant, refrigerant). * Strong mechanical skills. Hands-on mentality. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to be flexible and responsive. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.Good understanding on how to work safely and efficiently in the lab.
