GAI Consultants, Inc. is seeking a Senior EIT 2 to work with the Power Generation Business Sector on primarily renewable energy projects and when needed other regional projects. This position is eligible for our flexible hybrid or remote work schedules. The successful candidate will enjoy working in a team-oriented environment that will utilize their college education and past work experience to develop professionally into a well-rounded engineer with the ability to grow in today’s environment. Responsibilities of this position will include leading civil site work consisting of design, permitting, construction activities as well as beginning to establish client management and business development strategies.

Responsibilities:

  • Work on energy-related projects with a focus on renewables
  • Lead civil site engineering tasks
  • Interface with clients on civil site tasks
  • Lead assigned project teams
  • Lead development of civil site proposals
  • Task management on assigned projects (schedules, budgets, and quality of work)
  • Travel overnight to Project sites domestically, as needed, with a focus on the mid-Atlantic regions of the United States is required. Travel is anticipated at less than 10% monthly.
  • Site Grading Plans
  • Erosion and Sediment Control Plans
  • Stormwater Management Plans
  • Hydrologic and Hydraulic / Drainage Plans
  • Utility Design and Relocation Plans
  • Maintenance and Protection of Traffic Plans

EDUCATION

  • B.S. or M.S. Engineering

COMMUNICATION SKILLS

  • Possess effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Interacts with other staff.
  • Interacts with clients with close oversight.
  • Interacts closely with Project Managers & various Department Managerial Staff, especially with client communications.
  • Interacts with clients at regular project meetings.

EXPERIENCE

Required

  • Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D
  • 6 year(s): Relevant civil engineering experience

  • Bachelors or better in Engineering
