About the Role
Are you a technician who thrives under pressure, leads in the field, and delivers expert-level service? We’re looking for an elite Power Generation Technician to take charge of diagnostics, repairs, and field service for commercial generator systems and rental fleets.

What You’ll Do

  • Respond to emergency service calls (including after-hours and weekends)
  • Perform diagnostics, repairs, and overhauls on diesel generators and power systems
  • Use diagnostic tools and software to pinpoint and resolve electrical/mechanical faults
  • Maintain Gentech’s rental generator fleet for peak performance
  • Lead and mentor junior field staff on service and safety practices
  • Communicate with clients clearly and professionally
  • Complete service reports, inspections, and documentation
  • Adhere to CSA 282-15, NFPA standards, and all safety protocols

What You Bring

  • Journeyperson Heavy Equipment Technician OR Journeyman/Master Electrician with diesel experience (required)
  • 5+ years of generator service experience (required)
  • Advanced mechanical & electrical troubleshooting skills
  • Proficiency with diagnostic software & load testing tools
  • Experience with multiple engine manufacturers (e.g., CAT, Cummins, John Deere)
  • Strong communication, critical thinking, and leadership ability
  • Positive, reliable, safety-focused team player
  • Clean driver’s license + reliable transportation
  • Willingness to take on on-call rotation and emergency assignments

  • Pay: $44-52/hour (based on experience & skill level)
