Description
We are looking for a motivated professional interest in energy markets to join our team in Rome. The role focuses on managing and optimizing our energy contract portfolio, including Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs), Guarantees of Origin (GOs), and merchant market strategies. You will support the execution of energy sales strategies and collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth operations and process efficiency. This is a hands-on role suited for candidates who already have a working knowledge of energy contracts and market dynamics. Responsibility/Duties: Monitor the evolution of national and European regulatory frameworks, identifying opportunities to enhance the value of produced energy through new instruments or incentive mechanisms Collaborate with internal teams (Regulatory, Legal, Business Development) to analyze the impact of emerging regulations and contribute to the definition of positioning strategies Prepare and structure the contractual documentation required for participation in market or regulatory mechanisms (e.g., auctions, contracts for difference, capacity support mechanisms, etc.) Support the optimization of the merchant component of the plants through market analysis and identification of new commercial opportunities Collaborate with other company teams to provide support in managing activities related to due diligence processes or requests from banks in the context of financing operations Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Economics, Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, Energy Management, or similar quantitative fields Strong analytical skills and confidence working with numbers, datasets, and Excel Basic understanding (or strong motivation to learn) of: energy markets, PPAs, GOs, merchant strategies, regulatory frameworks in power & renewables Ability to conduct market analysis, interpret trends, and prepare structured reports Familiarity with PowerPoint and Excel for analytical presentations Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills Ability to work with cross‑functional teams (Regulatory, Legal, BD, Finance) Proactive, curious, and eager to learn in a fast‑paced environment Strong communication skills (written and verbal) Problem-solving mindset and flexibility in handling multiple tasks Fluency in Italian and good command of English (spoken & written)
