Key Job Responsibilities: * Responsibilities for the operations of the bubbling fluidized bed (BFB) boiler * Coordinates all activities on site * Oversees system start-ups and shut downs * Monitors and adjusts the equipmentWorks with integrated controls – programmable logic controls (PLC), distributed control systems (DCS), etc * Understands combustion theory applications and works comfortable with proportional integral derivative (PID) instrument loops and emission control systems * Conducts boiler water chemistry analysis and daily system walk down * Directs and monitors shift team work in accordance with safety and productivity goals * Routine use of Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, and Power Point EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE 4 year college degree or military preferred Minimum of 7 years experience in power plant and control room operations Experience with boiler water chemistry analysis Solid fuel firing a plus Heavy equipment experience a plus Qualifications Pratt Industries is America's 5th largest paper and packaging company with more than 9,000 highly skilled green collar employees dedicated to the environment and sustainability.
