INTRODUCTION
The Department of Health Services (DHS), Mendota Mental Health Institute (MMHI) is currently recruiting two (2) Power Plant Operator-Senior positions. One position will typically work a rotation of AM and PM shifts. The other position will typically work daytime hours. Weekends are on a rotation of three on and three off for both positions.
MMHI is located on the north side of Madison and offers a beautiful campus environment, convenient free parking and an onsite workout facility. MMHI is an inpatient psychiatric facility, with one outpatient program, specializing in serving patients with complex psychiatric conditions, often combined with certain problem behaviors. MMHI is an integral part of the entire Wisconsin mental health service delivery system.

POSITION SUMMARY
As a Power Plant Operator - Senior, you will perform a variety of duties essential to the operation of a large institutional power plant. The MMHI power plant operates on natural gas and has fuel oil burning capabilities. The plant also has steam turbine and diesel driven generators capable of operating in parallel with the local utility. You will be responsible for:
