In this newly created role, you’ll take ownership of the resort’s independent power generation system, leading daily operations and future upgrades of our diesel plant and electrical distribution network. You’ll also play a key part in Cooinda’s transition to renewable energy, supporting solar and battery integration projects that power the entire resort community. Job Description Operate and maintain Cooinda Lodge’s diesel power generation and electrical distribution systems. Lead maintenance schedules, HV/LV switching, and system optimisation to ensure safe and reliable power for all facilities. Manage infrastructure projects, budgets, and contractors in collaboration with the Maintenance Manager. Contribute technical leadership to the resort’s renewable energy transition (solar PV/BESS integration). Support operational planning to ensure power resilience through the wet season and peak tourism demand. Uphold compliance with WHS, NT regulations, and environmental standards. Qualifications Electrical or Power Engineering degree (or equivalent trade with advanced technical experience). Proven experience in managing diesel generation systems and electrical distribution networks. HV switching and operations competency (UEPOPS022/036/116/124 or equivalent). Budget and project management experience for capital works. A proactive, problem-solving mindset and strong communication skills. Commitment to teamwork, reliability, and respect for cultural and environmental values.
