POWER PLATFORM CONSULTANT:

On behalf of our Consulting client, Procom is searching for a Power Platform Consultant for a 4 month contract role. This position is a hybrid position with 3 days onsite at our client’s Toronto office.

POWER PLATFORM CONSULTANT - JOB DESCRIPTION:

We are seeking a Power Platform Specialist to focus on cleaning up existing Power Platform environments, establishing governance frameworks, and ensuring sustainable practices for long-term success. The role involves collaborating with business and IT stakeholders to implement Data Loss Prevention (DLP) and connector policies, and to guide best practices for application development and lifecycle management.

POWER PLATFORM CONSULTANT - MANDATORY SKILLS:

  • 5 years experience with Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse, Power BI, and related services).
  • Strong expertise in Power Platform governance, DLP policies, connector management, and environment strategy.
  • Hands-on experience with ALM in the Power Platform ecosystem.
  • Knowledge of best practices for application development, portability, and reusability.
  • Familiarity with Azure Active Directory (AAD), security roles, and compliance controls.
  • Experience working with both technical teams and business stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

POWER PLATFORM CONSULTANT – NICE-TO-HAVE SKILLS:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to detail in high-impact environments.
  • Experience in the healthcare industry.
  • Experience with complex environment strategies.
  • Familiarity with additional Microsoft services and tools.
Responsibilities
  • Assess and clean up existing Power Platform environments, ensuring safe and efficient re-organization.
  • Define, implement, and enforce Power Platform governance policies, including DLP and connector usage.
  • Establish and guide customers through a comprehensive Environment Strategy aligned with organizational needs.
  • Support Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) practices across the Power Platform, including versioning, deployment, and portability.
  • Develop and communicate best practices for Power Apps, Power Automate, and related components.
  • Partner with business stakeholders to balance governance requirements with user productivity.
  • Provide training, documentation, and knowledge transfer to IT teams and business units.
  • Continuously monitor environments to ensure compliance, security, and efficiency.
