Description

As a Power Platform Senior Developer, you will play a key role in architecting, developing, and optimizing Power Platform solutions to address real business challenges. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, leadership, and a commitment to delivering client success. You’ll mentor junior team members, lead development initiatives, and ensure the solutions you deliver are efficient, scalable, and aligned with best practices. Technical skills are important, but we also value your soft skills, attention to detail, and your motivation to adopt new skills to solve problems for our clients. Every project is different and may require you to develop a degree of expertise in all areas of the Power Platform.

SKILLS NEEDED:

  • Advanced problem-solving and analytical skills, with an emphasis on solution architecture and Power Platform expertise.
  • Strong communication skills for documenting technical processes and clearly explaining project approaches to clients and team members.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, SharePoint, and Outlook, Power Query, Power Platform, and Dynamics 365.
  • Experience working in Agile and Scrum environments, contributing effectively as a member of a high-functioning team.
  • Advanced Dataverse Experience: In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Dataverse, including complex data modeling, managing security roles, APIs, XRMToolBox, and working with relational data in Dataverse.
  • Proficiency in Power Platform Pro Dev Tools: Familiarity with advanced development tools like Power Platform CLI, Solution Packager, and Azure DevOps for version control, CI/CD pipelines, and Application Lifecycle Management (ALM).
  • Coding Skills in Azure and Power Platform Integrations: Experience with JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, Python, Azure Logic Apps, Azure Functions, and Power Fx for extending Power Apps, as well as C# for creating custom connectors and plugins within Dataverse.
  • Experience with Power Query data modeling, DAX, and Power BI and Reporting Integration: Ability to integrate Power BI for enhanced data visualizations, creating embedded reports and dashboards within Power Platform applications.
  • Security and Compliance Knowledge: Understanding of security best practices in Power Platform, including Azure Active Directory, role-based access control, column level security, and compliance standards.
  • Performance Optimization Skills: Proven ability to optimize Power Platform applications for performance, manage large data volumes, optimize Power Automate flows, and handle API usage limits effectively.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Required 3-5 years of experience developing apps, flows, and custom solutions with Microsoft Power Platform, preferably in a consulting or client-focused environment.
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Management, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent experience.

    • PL-400: Microsoft Power Platform Developer Associate (Required)

    • PL-200: Microsoft Power Platform Functional Consultant (Optional but beneficial)
    • PL-600: Microsoft Power Platform Solution Architect Expert (Optional but beneficial)

    Responsibilities
    • Collaborate with project leads and business analysts to understand documented features, detailed user stories, and provide accurate estimates for development tasks.
    • Deliver high-quality work from the project backlog, ensuring timely completion and actively participating in backlog refinement sessions to optimize priorities.
    • Ensure solution reliability by proactively identifying potential defects and performing in-depth testing to guarantee performance and maintainability.
    • Stay current with advancements in the Power Platform and keep certifications up to date, ensuring you bring the latest skills to client projects.
    • Support go-live implementations, including tasks such as data migration, user acceptance testing, and solution handoff, to ensure a seamless client transition.
    • Mentor and lead junior developers, sharing knowledge and providing guidance to promote skill development and teamwork.
    • Adapt to new technologies and project needs, maintaining flexibility to learn and integrate new systems as required by client projects.
