Description

ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • 5 up to 10 years of Engineering and Commissioning expertise.
  • Knowledge of the Design and Development processes, related procedures and instructions, KPIs
  • Knowledge of the system, subsystems of a transportation system and related interactions, system architecture
  • Knowledge of the basic technical concepts and the main PS&TP architecture and equipment
  • Knowledge of the principles of the electrical system design
  • Knowledge of the process of checking that Traction Power and Power Supply meets specifications and that it fulfills its intended purposes/ requirements, about factory and on-site testing
  • Knowledge of the process of checking that electrical system meets specifications and that it fulfills its intended purposes/ requirements, about factory and on-site testing
  • Knowledge of commissioning rules and standards also with reference to the specific project and country in order to adhere to them and induct other people involved on tests activities properly
  • Knowledge of the railway environment and the related risks and rules and adhere to them in planning and executing commissioning activities.
  • Ensure the interface with the other relevant technologies
  • Ensure test planning and coordination of operational activities on site according to schedule
  • Ensure the Verification activities on Power Supply & Traction Power documents, according to the V&V Plan
  • Ensure the execution of the test and issuing the test report and non-compliances according to quality procedures and proposing remedy actions
  • Ensure the identification of the contractual requirements about PS&TP design.
  • Contribute to the Contact line standardization across different projects.
  • % completion of activity budget with respect to the planned one in the project
  • % reduction of design releases issued with respect to previous projects
    Preferred profile is a candidate experienced in the field of the traction power systems or as alternative of the electrical systems.

EDUCATION / QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical, Electronic, or Computer Engineering or Information Technology or Equivalent technical experience.
Ontario P.Eng highly desirable.
