We seek individuals that share our passion for excellence. Business Unit/Department: Engineering Location: Lawrence, PA Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Project Management 1. Ability and knowledge to perform system studies under the direction of a Senior Engineer. This would include Short Circuit, Overcurrent Coordination, Arc Flash, and Load Flow Studies. 2. Follows project scope and consults with Senior/Staff/Principal Engineer regularly to review analysis progress and to meet budget requirements. 3. Regularly discuss and meet with the Qual-Tech Project Leader to pursue system data requirements, ensure the system studies are completed on time, and support customer follow-up questions. Power System Modeling 4. Have a comprehension of data requirements for SC, OC, LF, and AF computer models. 5. Proficient in using ETAP/SKM analysis software. Have a Fundamental Understanding in at Least Three of These Five Areas: 6. Short Circuit and Overcurrent Coordination Analysis i. Complete SC studies with limited supervision. ii. Independently complete recommended OC settings for LVCBs following QT 608. iii. Properly apply the recommended coordination margins given in QT 608. iv. Knowledge and ability to work on recommended relay settings with supervision. v. Has relative field or equipment knowledge to be able to perform site data collection. 7. Arc Flash Analysis i. NFPA 70E & IEEE 1584: Has read, understood, and shown the capacity to internally discuss key points. ii. Has been through internal QT PPE training. iii. Can set up, run, review, and troubleshoot Arc Flash output from ETAP & SKM. 8. Digital Relay Analysis i. With direction, can develop relay setting files for SEL and GE Multilin relays. 9. Load Flow Analysis i. Has previous or QT experience in making harmonic and load measurements in the field. ii. With supervision, can complete computer model set up to successfully duplicate field measurements.
