Description

BUSINESS ENTITY:

Develop and test the next generation of industry-leading Ethernet Switches for Enterprise & Campus Access/Core segments. This role will contribute to shaping the Internet of Everything.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Strong professional and technical competence

  • Experience with test equipment (oscilloscope, digital voltage meter, phase gain analyzer, programmable AC sources)

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university, or 5+ years as a power validation engineer at the component level
  • Local to the Austin, TX area
  • 5+ years of experience in test automation, including planning, assessments, and script development
  • Professional written and interpersonal skills for team and engineering communication

    Pay: $80,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year

Responsibilities
  • Conduct system performance testing to ensure system reliability, capacity, and scalability
  • Collaborate with the testing team to develop performance test plans and cases
  • Perform and analyze power test cases, review results, and coordinate with development teams for bug fixes
  • Debug complex issues at the system and component level (including MOSFETs, inductors, capacitors, power supplies, etc.)
  • Leverage automation to implement test strategies and improve productivity
  • Test product compliance to internal specs and industry standards
  • Provide detailed issue mitigation and drive issues to closure
  • Document test plans, procedures, and test reports
  • Assist with root cause analysis of power supply issues and support customer escalations
