POWER WASHING TECHNICIAN SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

Power Washing Technicians are polite and professional. They can work independently and stay focused on a task for several hours at a time. They can also stay on their feet and do physical work for most of each day. Some of the top skills and qualifications for a Power Washing Technician include:

Responsibilities

Power Washing Technicians are responsible for ensuring that the areas to be painted are pressure washed, cleaned and prepared prior to the painting start date. They usually set up the equipment, ensuring it has enough water or chemical for the job, and transporting it to the worksite. They operate the machinery, monitoring the water pressure and amount of water used, then break down and clean up the machine when you are done. Some of the common duties and responsibilities in a Power Washing Technician job description may include:

  • Check and make sure the company vehicle, pressure washer machinery, hoses, chemicals, and tools are stocked and in working order
  • Use pressure washers to clean all types of surfaces
  • Spot-check areas to ensure the surface is clean
  • Review job with the client once you are complete
  • Moving ladders, paint cans, and other painting equipment
  • Painters apply wallpaper, sealants, and wood finishes along with paint.
  • Helping build new homes and businesses and renovate existing ones
  • Finding ways to reduce the costs of equipment and supplies
  • Creating bills and invoices and receiving payments from customers
  • Negotiating with customers and dealing with any complaints
  • Driving trucks with painting supplies to and from work sites
  • Keeping trucks and storage areas neat and clean
  • Checking inventory, and ordering paint and other supplies when needed
