MICROSOFT POWER PLATFORM DEVELOPER

About the Role: Join the Office of one of our Government clients in Washington DC as a Microsoft Power Platform Developer supporting the Agency IT Financial group. In this role, you will build PowerApps solutions to help manage contracts, licensing, and hardware solutions. This position requires expertise in developing PowerApps, Power Automate flows, and Power BI reports to modernize legacy applications and enhance business processes.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in software development and/or data analysis
  • Strong knowledge of Azure Cloud, MS Power Platform, PowerApps, Power Automate, and Power BI
  • Advanced knowledge of Transact-SQL and MS SQL Server Management Studio
  • 3-5 years of experience defining requirements, setting integration standards, and developing Microsoft Power Platform applications
  • Experience with PowerApps configuration, customization, and client-side scripting
  • Experience with C#, PowerShell, TS/JavaScript
  • Proven track record building D365 plugins, workflows, and Power Automate flows
  • Experience developing web services, APIs, and working with JSON data
  • Experience with Azure platform (Azure Functions, Queue, Service Bus, Azure DevOps)
  • Experience developing Dataverse or similar databases and working with large datasets
  • Experience consuming data via RESTful APIs and managing JSON data transfer
  • Experience with agile/scrum methodologies

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Relevant Microsoft certification (PL-400/600 or similar)
  • Experience leading technology implementation projects
  • Experience creating comprehensive implementation plans, testing plans, and training materials

Responsibilities
  • Develop PowerApps model-driven and canvas apps to replace legacy applications
  • Integrate Power Platform applications with 3rd party systems using Microsoft Power Automate, Logic Apps, and Dataverse APIs
  • Design, develop, and deploy complex reports and dashboards using Power BI
  • Integrate Power BI reports and dashboards into PowerApps solutions
  • Implement DevOps processes and build-test-release pipelines
  • Design, document, build, and deploy secure solutions within the Power Platform ecosystem
  • Complete technical requirement scoping and time allocation for assigned tasks
  • Develop logic apps with middleware automation using Power Automate
  • Create D365 plugins, workflows, and automated flows
  • Establish new data integrations from internal and external sources using APIs or ETL tools
  • Provide ongoing support for custom applications and solutions within Microsoft Dynamics
  • Perform code reviews and unit testing for developed solutions
  • Serve as a Power Platform subject matter expert providing full lifecycle ownership
  • Maintain and enhance existing applications by improving performance, fixing bugs, and implementing new functionalities
